Lake Hāwea Graph and Rainfall

Storage graph for Lake Hāwea, courtesy of Dunstan Brook-Miller, Contact Energy.

The rainfall for August as recorded at the NIWA station at the Gladstone Gap was 73mm. 34mm of that fell over the 16th/17th Aug.

The lake recovered approx 640mm from a few days prior to, and during level 4, with the river running at 15 cumecs the fortnight of level 4. The lake level this morning is 343.210masl.

The weather amazing during recent days, mums and dads and kids swimming, kids barbequing marshmallows and sausages on mini fires on the beach, (family bubbles of course), the Gladstone Track busy as with walkers and cyclists (staying local and social distancing subject to matagouri bushes!).
