QLDC drop in session for Hāwea wastewater management *Postponed

Update 4/12/21: This event has been postponed. From QLDC:

"Following today’s move to the Orange light under the COVID-19 Protection Framework, we have made the decision to postpone the Hāwea Wastewater drop-in session.

This is because we want to ensure that everyone interested in coming along to talk about the preferred long term solution, can, regardless of their vaccination status.

We will be rescheduling to an outdoor venue in January 2022 and we’ll keep you updated when we have plans in place.

In the meantime, we’re planning an online Q&A session ahead of Christmas or you can take a look at the Let’s Talk page and provide feedback online: letstalk.qldc.govt.nz"

QLDC will soon be inviting feedback on a preferred long-term solution that can respond to, and futureproof Hāwea’s wastewater needs for a minimum of 30 years.

Interested residents are invited to pop along to a drop in session on 4 December, any time between 10.00am and 12.30pm at the Lake Hāwea Community Centre. The preferred long-term solution will be on display and Council staff will be available to answer any questions. QLDC will also be sharing information on the interim solution underway to alleviate immediate operational issues.

Please use the following link to access the Facebook Event page for the drop in session: https://www.facebook.com/events/3158929157716762

For those who can’t make it, there’s a second session at The Albert Town Tavern between 1.30pm at 4.00pm or full details full details and an online feedback form will be available at letstalk.qldc.govt.nz next week. We will provide the link here when QLDC has it ready.
