45:15 Cllr Niamh Shaw states the core ethos of this development is to provide a quantity of affordable housing and these provisions are totally eroding the goals of this development.
50:50 Cllr Nicki Gladding summarises what the councillors are being asked to do, in effectively removing the affordability provisions from the SHA.
52:50 Tony Avery General Manager Planning and Development explains that the SHA legislation was never about creating affordability.
53:50 Cllr Heath Copeland states that if all sections were sold with no price controls this would be a great result.
54:40 Cllr Quentin Smith states that selling sections does not produce housing, and housing is the problem they are trying to address. Relaxing/removing these provisions will not help the housing problem.

Jim Boult (Mayor), Calum Macleod (Deputy Mayor), Heath Copland, Penny Clarke, Glyn Lewers and Craig Ferguson (Councillors) vote for effectively removing the affordability provisions from the SHA.
Niamh Shaw, Nicki Gladding and Quentin Smith (Councillors) vote against the proposal.
